Sing it Loud. Sing it Long.
Back in 2000—when I needed a little more cash—I told a lie. I sent out an e-mail announcing that I used to teach voice and was going to resume my studio here in Manhattan.
Don’t get me wrong. I knew a thing or two about singing; I had just never tried to share it with anyone. But a couple of people responded to the e-mail and started studying with me, and—guess what!?—I was pretty good at it. What’s more: I loved it.
All these years later, I’m still at it, and my studio and students are thriving!
