I’ve got answers
Q: Do you coach privately?
A: Yes, but I prefer the group setting because it offers far more support. If you do wish to coach individually, it is $50 a month.
Q: How much does it cost to join a Transitions Group?
A: It costs $25/month for a three month group — so $75.
Q: What do I get for my $75?
A: Support. Three 30-day food diaries, which are the core of the program. Keep track of your eating and exercise (even when you “cheat”). A weekly weigh-in and an accountability partner for daily check ins. You also get a weekly call from a member of my staff to check in and see if you have any questions or problems.
Each group also has its own homepage where we can post encouragement and feedback for one another.
Q: What happens at the weekly meetings?
The central activity is to weigh-in, measure our body fat (far more important than weight!) and take measurements to see how things are going.
The other function is to connect with the whole group. It’s also a good place to find your next accountability partner.
Q:What is the nutriPhysical?
A: It is an extensive questionaire formulated by Harvard research physicians which will help you determine which, if any, supplements (from vitamins and anti-oxidants to weight loss supplements) are right for you.
Q:What about those supplements? Is this just a ploy to get me to buy more stuff?
A: I applaud your scepticism. The supplements are by no means required. If your goals are focused only on general health and wellness, I don’t think any additional supplements are required. I would encourage you to consider taking a quality multi-vitamin and a fish oil supplement. I offer those, too, but you can find them in most health food stores.
Just be sure you’re not getting the cheap stuff. Most drugstore vitamins are never absorbed by your system. I do not recommend them.
Q: Is this part of some pyramid scheme?
A: Wow. you really think of everything. The answer is no: pyramid schemes are illegal. Now. If you want to know whether it’s network marketing, then the answer is yes.
The parent company of Transitions is called Market America, and I have been using and distributing their health and nutrition products for the last two years or so.
See the “entrepreneur” section if you have any more questions about that.
Q: Can I look like an underwear model on Transitions?
A: Sure you can, but I don’t know how I feel about that as a goal.
My goal with every client is to develop a healthier lifestyle based on low-glycemic eating and regular exercise. If you do that, then your body will find its optimal weight.
If you are among the truly genetically blessed, then you’ll be in that Victoria’s Secret catalog in no time.
If you’re like the rest of us, you just won’t run from swimming pools.
Q: How fast will I lose the weight?
A: Again, everyone is different. I do guarantee that if you adhere faithfully to the plan, you will see and, more imporantly, feel a difference in just a few weeks.
I know I did!
